General Terms and Conditions of Sale

  • Payment terms
  • The client has the right to pay the fees in cash (within the legal limit of €3,000) or via Payconiq.
No method of payment may be imposed exclusively, subject to applicable legal provisions.
Fees are due at the time of the veterinary care, unless expressly agreed otherwise with the practitioner.
  • Invoicing
  • Invoices are issued in digital format and sent by e-mail.
If the client wishes to receive a paper duplicate by postal mail, an additional fee of €10 will be charged to cover administrative and postal costs.
  • Late Payment – Reminders and Fees
  • In case of non-immediate payment, a first reminder will be sent to the client free of charge.
If payment is not made within 14 calendar days following the sending of this reminder, late payment interest and a flat-rate indemnity may be applied, calculated in accordance with the statutory ceilings:
    • €20 for any debt ≤ €150,
    • €30 plus 10% of the amount due between €150.01 and €500,
    • €65 plus 5% of the amount due above €500.
Each additional reminder may result in a flat-rate administrative fee of up to €7.50, plus applicable postal charges.
  • Cancellation policy
  • For the emergency service, any scheduled consultation not cancelled within 15 minutes of the client’s call will result in a flat-rate reservation fee equal to 50% of the fee announced during the call, since a veterinarian is mobilised immediately. This fee covers the actual costs related to the immediate mobilisation of a veterinarian.
Any home visit ordered and not cancelled at the time of the veterinarian’s call confirming that he/she is on the way to your home will be fully invoiced, even if the visit is cancelled while the veterinarian is en route.
Any home visit ordered, not cancelled, and not carried out due to the absence of the animal at the domicile will be fully invoiced.
  • Complaints
  • Any complaint relating to a service provided must be submitted by registered mail within 15 days after the date of intervention. This period does not prevent the client from exercising his/her rights before the competent courts or supervisory authorities (Veterinary Order, etc.).

    Jurisdiction
Any dispute relating to a veterinary service shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, in particular the Justice of the Peace of the Third Canton of Brussels.
